how many of you out there use keyboard shortcuts?
i don’t mean the typical cut/copy/paste combos; i mean the nitty gritty, “i’m only using my mouse to pretend i like it” kinda’ shortcuts. i often find myself going to the Menu Bar (with my mouse) to complete an action, only to find a keystroke available for use… and i use it instead of clicking. Jac can attest to this: i’m an absolute keystroke/combo junkie. if i can do it with my keyboard, i’ll do it every time.

It depends on the application for me. In Firefox/Safari, I do most things via keyboard short cuts. In Final Cut I change tools only using the keyboard. That being said, I’m not great at memorizing keyboard shortcuts. Merlin Mann released a video of him going through the applications in his menu bar and his screencast has a representation of his keyboard on it. He goes nuts with the keyboard shortcuts!
I use a good number of keyboard shortcuts (beyond the normal amount) but I’m sure I’m not near the level that you are. It just makes life easier sometimes (not that moving my fingers a couple centimeters to use the mouse is any great challenge).
I don’t know any shortcuts. I know copy and paste and one to open a new tab. that’s pretty much it. andy, however, a whole new story.
i imagine Andy is a maniac on ‘dem keeeys.
I do. But when someone asks me what the shortcut is, I always have to punch it out on a phantom keyboard.

I’m all about the keyboard shortcuts, especially in Opera, which is a keyboardist’s dream.
Depends on the application. Some I use mostly shortcuts, others – not so much.
