from the desk of Rosemary, pt. 5

so… here it is. 5am, and we’ve been here since around 10.30pm last night. we’re inching ever closer to Rosemary’s arrival, with a few adjustments.
despite best efforts, we’ve decided to scratch the original plan of au natural and go with an epidural. sometimes enough is enough, and with the bizarre lack of progress combined with really strong contractions, our hand was forced. no matter. Jac totally kicked ass for the first 24 hours sans meds, and will continue to kick ass for the rest of our stay. Rosemary is doing well at this point. a ton of progress has been made since we first arrived, and we’re well on our way to getting that girl moving along. Dr. Connor (Jac’s OB) should be here around 8am and that’s when we’ll know even more. for now… we wait a little bit more.
