one piece of tech
July 12, 2010
if there’s one piece of daily tech i cannot live without, it has to be my Monster iCarPlay Wireless FM Transmitter.
they literally don’t make them like they used to. a few years back, the FCC clamped down on the signal strength these gadgets could put out; this was one of the last that had super-powered strength, enough (usually) to cut through other radio noise garbage. without it, i’d need a new car stereo to listen to my podcasts and music via my iPod. its taken a helluva’ beating over the years and still works perfectly.
whats the one piece of (perhaps) unexpected tech you can’t live without?

I agree I love my Kensington FM transmitter. And it’s lasted me a long time, too. *knock on wood*I didn’t know about the signal strength thing. I wonder how to check mine and see if mine is one of the more powerful ones or not. I do know I’ve only been overpowered by a car next to me one time. It was in T-Town and this hoopty car came up and blew me away with some heavy bass rap or something. The transmitter wouldn’t be the answer to your question here about the tech item I can’t live without, but I can’t think of what it would be. I guess phones are the expected answer, so that’s why you asked for “unexpected” tech.Maybe my garage door opener?
