my last book recommendation

I think I've recommended this book to at LEAST ten of my friends, and I don't think any of them have ever taken me up on that recommendation. I had one who asked me a few days ago and I could feel him on the other end of the phone wondering, "what the hell are you talking about?"

so with that in mind, I offer unto you my one and only book recommendation ever, until someone actually reads it: 'Lamb,' by Christopher Moore.

"... an American writer of absurdist fiction and comic fantasy." I have to warn you I'm not a fan of either Steinbeck or Vonnegut, both of which are mentioned in the same Wiki entry.

We'll talk later.

It's interesting that you mention books at all, though. I have recently pondered doing a regular book review for my LJ. It seems that each book I read induces rather lengthy emails between my dad and me, most of which can be easily adapted to a real post in review form. Not like what you've done here, of course, which is more like, "Hey, here's this book over here. Go read it or don't, I don't give a rat's arse!"

Does it count as me taking you up on the offer if I just re-read it?
